Newsletter - EN: Integrated design as a basis for effective logistic buildings

Tip novice: Novice | 14. 05. 2015

Currently under construction at the location of the pharmaceutical company LEK (NOVARTIS SANDOZ Group) in Lendava is a new vertical rack storage, which is with 100 meters of length, 15 meters of width, over 30 meters of height and capacity for 11,000 pallets one of the largest and most modern buildings in Slovenia. Besides the newest storage technology a special feature to the project is a 48 meter long transport bridge, which is supported on the entire length only once and connects the new storage to the existing buildings.

The building currently under construction is the result of an integrated design process, where our architects and engineers worked in close collaboration with the investor to prepare project documentation (architecture, parts of structural design and the site design for preliminary design, main design and detailed design phases) for implementation.

The project documentation, including the obtaining of building permit, was completed within 9 months. This is the result of constructive cooperation of a number of integrated external experts, project managers on the side of the investor and the authorities during the design process. The principles of integrated design have contributed significantly to the time and cost savings as well as the quality assurance in every phase of implementation.
