Newsletter - EN: Protim at the realisation of complex engineering projects

Messer Slovenia opened in May an air separation unit for the production of technical gases in Škofja Loka, which are used in almost all branches of industry. The core of the new plant is a 52 meters high and a 175 ton heavy tower for oxygen, nitrogen and argon separation from the air. The technical inspection was successfully carried out, as well as testing of technological equipment. A permit for trial operation has been obtained, which is already in progress. This first air separation unit in Slovenia has an investment value of 20 million euros and has created 20 new jobs.

For this project and in the investor’s corner, we prepared the municipal detailed spatial plan, the project documentation and issued tenders for submission of works. We also participated in the process of obtaining the valid building permit for the facility, the communal infrastructure and the environmental permit, as well as supported the client with our designer supervision services.

A construction of high-bay warehouse for TKK, a producer of polyurethane foam, sealants, adhesives, admixtures for concrete and coatings, was completed in Srpenica in April. The new high-bay warehouse with the latest warehousing technology, located within the existing production complex, consists of almost 10.000 pallet positions and 9.000 square meters of gross surface. The total investment value is 6.5 million euros.

In Protim, we have prepared all phases of the project documentation for the investor, participated in the implementation of tenders and the submission of works and performed construction management services.

A new arched suspension bridge for cyclists and pedestrians over the A2 highway was installed near the Voklo rest area in March. The complex steel structure with a span of 60 meters and weight of 58 tons was being assembled on the site along the highway for several months. The bridge incorporates modern architectural design, is illuminated at night and its walking surface is heated in the winter. The bridge installation was carried out by a special 400-ton lift, which lifted the bridge over the highway and placed it on the foundations on both sides of the highway in only 17 minutes.

We have prepared the project documentation and provided designer supervision services to the investor Municipality of Šenčur.
